Discussions regarding hermeneutics, historicism, and the possibility of philosophy between Strauss and Gadamer. The implication of Martin Heidegger’s thought for these fundamental themes is taken up in relation to Gadamer’s own "Wahrheit   und Methode  " (Truth and Method). Gadamer later addressed these issues specifically, as a result of this correspondence. Originally published in a continental journal of philosophy, it is today rare and difficult to obtain.
