22. Caso se chegue, como se precisa chegar, ao reconhecimento da essência predeterminada da ciência moderna, ao reconhecimento de seu caráter de funcionamento puro e necessariamente passível de ser colocado a nosso serviço e das instituições necessárias para isso, então no campo de visão desse reconhecimento é preciso esperar por um progresso gigantesco das ciências, sim, é preciso até mesmo contar com ele. Esses progressos trarão consigo a espoliação e a utilização da terra, a criação e o adestramento do homem para o interior de estados ainda hoje irrepresentáveis, cuja entrada em cena não pode ser impedida ou mesmo apenas retida por meio de nenhuma lembrança romântica de algo anterior e diverso. Esses progressos, porém, também serão cada vez mais raramente assinalados como algo espantoso e que nos chama a atenção, por exemplo, como realizações culturais, mas acontecem e são consumidos em série e, por assim dizer, como mistérios dos negócios, sendo imediatamente divulgados em seus resultados. É somente quando a ciência tiver alcançado essa discrição consonante com o funcionamento que lhe é característico em seu desdobramento, que ela se mostrará lá onde ela mesma se torna impulsionadora: ela se dissolve, então, concomitantemente em meio à dissolução de todo ente mesmo. Com vistas a esse fim, que será um estado final muito duradouro e que se assemelha sempre com um início, a ciência se encontra hoje no seu melhor começo. Só cegos e loucos falarão hoje do "fim" da ciência. [GA65PT  :154-155]

Si se llega, como se tiene que llegar, al reconocimiento de la esencia predeterminada de la ciencia moderna, de su mero y necesario carácter servicial emprendedor y de las requeridas organizaciones para ello, entonces en el horizonte de este reconocimiento tiene que esperarse y hasta calcularse en el futuro un enorme progreso de las ciencias. Estos progresos traerán la explotación y utilización de la tierra, y la crianza y amaestramiento del hombre en estados hoy todavía irrepresentables, cuyo ingreso no podrá ser impedido ni tampoco sólo detenido a través de ningún recuerdo romántico en algo anterior y diferente. Pero estos progresos serán también registrados siempre de modo más insólito aún como algo sorprendente y llamativo, acaso como producciones culturales, y serán verificados y consumidos en serie y en cierto modo como secretos comerciales, y distribuidos en sus resultados. Tan sólo cuando la ciencia haya alcanzado esta discreción funcional del desarrollo, estará adonde ella misma impele: se disolverá entonces ella misma con la disolución de todo ente. En perspectiva a este fin, que será un estado final muy duradero, que parece siempre un comienzo, la ciencia se encuentra hoy en su mejor inicio. 22. If it comes, as it must, to recognizing the predetermined essence of modern science, of its pure and necessarily serviceable operational character and the organization necessary for that, then in the perspective of this recognition one must expect, nay even reckon   with, a gigantic progress of sciences in the future. These advancements will bring exploitation and usage of the earth as well as rearing and training of humans into conditions that are still inconceivable today and whose onset can neither be hindered nor even held   up in any way, by any romantic remembering of what was earlier and different. But these advancements will rarely be noted as something surprising and conspicuous, as cultural achievements, for example; rather, they will follow one after the other as trade secrets, as it were, and will be used up and then banished in their results. Only when science reaches this operational conspicuousness of unwinding is it at that place where it is driving itself to: then [GA65:157-158] [109] it dissolves itself in and along with the dissolution of all beings themselves. In view of this end, which will be a very enduring final state that will always look like a beginning, science today stands in its best beginning. Only the blind and the foolish will talk today of the "end" of science. [GA65EM:108-109]

If it happens, as it must, that the pre-determined essence of modern science is recognized, and so is its pure and necessarily serviceable character as a business, along with the institutions this requires, then in the horizon   of that recognition gigantic future advancements in the sciences are to be expected and indeed can even be calculated. These advancements will raise the utilization and exploitation of the earth, as well as the breeding and training of human beings, into currently unimaginable states whose coming cannot be prevented, or even delayed, by a romantic recollection of earlier and other states. But it will also be increasingly rare for these advancements to be taken as astonishing or remarkable or even as cultural accomplishments; they will occur instead in an unbroken series as, so to speak, trade secrets and will then be consumed, with their results deployed in practical applications. Only when the sciences have attained this businesslike unremarkability in their development will they reach the place toward which they themselves are driving: they will then be concomitantly dissolved in the dissolution of all beings themselves. With respect to this end, which promises to be a very lasting final state, one that will always look like a beginning, science today is still in its most advantageous starting point. Only the blind and the foolish will say today that science is at its “end.” [GA65RV]

22. Kommt es, wie es kommen   muß, zur Anerkennung des vorbestimmten Wesens der neuzeitlichen Wissenschaft  , ihres reinen und notwendig dienstbaren Betriebscharakters und der hierzu benötigten Einrichtungen, dann   muß im Gesichtskreis dieser Anerkennung künftig ein riesiger Fortschritt   der Wissenschaften zu erwarten  , ja sogar zu errechnen sein  . Diese Fortschritte werden   die Ausbeutung und Nutzung der Erde  , die Züchtung und Abrichtung des Menschen in heute   noch unvorstellbare Zustände bringen  , deren Eintritt durch keine romantische Erinnerung   an Früheres und Anderes verhindert oder auch nur aufgehalten werden kann. Aber diese Fortschritte werden auch immer seltener noch als ein Überraschendes und Auffälliges, etwa als Kulturleistungen, verzeichnet werden, sondern reihenweise und gleichsam als Geschäftsgeheimnisse erfolgen und verbraucht und in ihren Ergebnissen vertrieben werden. Erst wenn die Wissenschaft diese betriebsmäßige Unauffälligkeit des Abrollens erreicht hat, ist sie dort, wo sie selbst   hintreibt: sie löst sich dann in die Auflösung alles Seienden   selbst mit auf  . Im Ausblick auf dieses Ende  , das ein sehr dauerhafter Endzustand sein wird, der immer wie ein Anfang   aussieht, steht die Wissenschaft heute in ihrem besten Beginn. Nur Blinde und Narren werden heute vom »Ende« der Wissenschaft reden. [GA65:156-157]
