“Crítico”: del verbo griego κρίνειν, «distinguir», «diferenciar». Al diferenciar algo de algo, se hacen visibles ambos: lo diferenciado y su diferencia. Diferenciar un triángulo y un cuadrado, un mamífero y un pájaro, la epopeya y el drama, el sustantivo y el verbo, un ente de otro ente. Toda ciencia diferencia constantemente y, por tanto, determina lo diferenciado.
