Seinkönnen (das): «poder ser». Heidegger introduce este importante existenciario en la conferencia de 1924, El concepto de tiempo, en conjunción con la posibilidad extrema de la muerte. El Dasein tiene la posibilidad de ser o no ser sí mismo. El Dasein, pues, es lo que puede ser bien en el modo de ser de la propiedad bien en el de la impropiedad. En cualquier caso, el Dasein es siempre un poder-ser que se dilata en el tiempo, que se proyecta en el futuro. En otras palabras, la existencia no se caracteriza por lo que el Dasein es de hecho, sino por lo que puede llegar a ser; es decir, el Dasein está constantemente en Camino de (unterwegs) sí mismo, se halla sometido a un incesante proceso de realización de su existencia que refleja su naturaleza esencialmente dinámica. Seinkönnen (can-be) - The first stirrings of the universalized "can be" of Dasein are to be found in July 1924, in conjunction with the outermost possibility of death (BZ 15ff.). In November 1924, Heidegger concludes that the most immediate being-in is being-possible, the original choice to be or not   to be its There, its "that it is." Accordingly, Dasein always is what it can be. "The very being of Dasein is characterized as being-out-toward what it is not but can be." This "underway" character of Dasein is the complex that later gives birth, literally in the margins of this text  , to the formal indication of "ex-sistence." The delayed incubation is reflected in the tardy and halting first emergence of the noun  -phrase "can-be" in the second, still nonexistentialist, draft of BT (GA20  :401/290). [Kisiel  ]
