Heidegger usa Bedeutsamkeit (sempre no singular) para indicar a rede   de relações que une firmemente o mundo de Dasein  . Ele a conecta com bedeuten, escrevendo às vezes be-deuten para realçar o sentido de " apontar; interpretar": " Apreendemos o caráter de remissão dessas remissões de referência [Verweisens] como ação de significar [be-deuten]. Na familiaridade com estas remissões, Dasein ‘significa’ [bedeutet, i.e., interpreta] para si mesmo, oferece a si mesmo o seu ser e o seu poder-ser para uma compreensão originária, no tocante ao ser-no-mundo. A função [das Worumwillen  ] significa [bedeutet, i.e., aponta para] um ser-para [ein Um-zu], este um ser para isso [ein Dazu  ], esse um estar junto [ein Wobeil] em que se deixa e faz um conjunto, em um estar com [ein Womit] da conjuntura.
