(…) Oὐσία è la forma contratta (Verkürzung) di παρουσία, «essere presente» (Gegenwärtigsein). Più frequente è il suo contrario, l’ἀπουσία, l’«assenza» (Abwesenheit), che però non significa semplicemente «niente» (nichts), bensì: qualcosa c’è, ma c’è in una mancanza (Mangel). Vederci da un occhio solo è un vedere nell’ἀπουσία. L’ἀπουσία è il fondamento ontologico per la categoria fondamentale della στέρησις. (GA18IT)

(…) Οὐσία is the abbreviation (Verkürzung) for παροὐσία, “being-present.” Usually the opposite is ἀποὐσία, “absence,” Not simply nothing but something there, although there as a lack. Squinting is a matter of seeing in the mode of ἀποὐσία. Αποὐσία is the ontological basis for the basic category of στέρησις. [GA18:33-34; GA18MT:25]
