Além disso, na caracterização da passagem do Dasein ao já-não-Dasein no sentido do já não-ser-no-mundo, mostrou-se que o sair-do-mundo do Dasein no sentido de morrer deve se distinguir do ir-se-do-mundo do somente-vivo. O findar de um vivo, nós o apreendemos terminologicamente como cessar-de-viver. A diferença só pode se tornar visível por uma delimitação do findar conforme-ao-Dasein em contraposição ao cessar-de-viver de uma vida . Não há dúvida de que o morrer pode ser também apreendido em sentido biofisiológico. Mas o conceito médico de “Exitus” não coincide com o cessar-de-viver. (p. 665)

Además, al caracterizar el paso del Dasein a no-existir-más en tanto que no-estar-más-en-el-mundo, se ha mostrado que el salir-del-mundo del Dasein, en el sentido del morir, debe ser distinguido de un salir-del-mundo de lo solamente viviente. El terminar de un ser vivo lo expresamos en nuestra terminología con el vocablo fenecer (Verenden ). La diferencia sólo puede hacerse visible trazando los límites entre el terminar del Dasein y la cesación de una vida . De plus, quand le passage du Dasein au n’être-plus-Dasein a été caractérisé comme n’être-plus-au-monde, il est apparu que quitter le monde prend pour le Dasein le sens de trépas, ce qui doit être distingué du cas où quitter le monde se dit du simple vivant. Prendre fin dans [SZ:241] le cas d’un vivant, c’est ce que notre terminologie saisit par arrêter de vivre. Distinction qui ne peut se voir qu’une fois délimité ce qu’est finir pour le Dasein par opposition à la fin d’une vie. Sans doute le trépas est-il, lui aussi, concevable sous l’angle physiologique et biologique. Mais le concept médical d’« exitus » et celui d’arrêt de vie font deux. (p. 293)

When we characterized the transition from Dasein to no-longer-Dasein as Being-no-longer-in-the-world, we showed further that Dasein''s going-out-of-the-world in the sense of dying must be distinguished from the going-out-of-the-world of that which merely has life (des Nur-lebenden). In our terminology the ending of anything that is alive, is denoted [SZ:241] as “perishing” (Verenden). We can see the difference only if the kind of ending which Dasein can have is distinguished from the end of a life. Of course “dying” may also be taken physiologically and biologically.
