===== TRANSFERIMOS AS TONALIDADES AFETIVAS AO EU-SUJEITO (89-90) =====

Porque hace mucho tiempo hemos sido desviados y, de antemano, tomamos al hombre como una cosa corporal dotada de un alma y sus procesos; y porque, además, tomamos este alma ante todo como un “yo”, transferimos las “tonalidades afectivas” a este “yo-sujeto”. Actualmente, el conocer y el querer, en tanto procesos subjetivos son referidos o están relacionados, todavía al menos, a objetos; pero a las “tonalidades afectivas” les falta, las más de las veces, este nexo con objetos, resultando así ser lo puramente “subjetivo”. Cuando las tonalidades afectivas están allí, en el “yo”, allí deben también surgir, es decir, nuevamente son causadas por otros estados sicosomáticos. Las “tonalidades afectivas” son transferidas al sujeto, y este sujeto las pone otra vez, desde sí, en los (88) objetos, con ayuda de la denominada empatia. Las tonalidades afectivas son, pues, algo así como un guante que, tan pronto se pone, como tan pronto se deja en cualquier lado.

En contraste con eso, hay que decir: las tonalidades afectivas no son puestas en el sujeto o en los objetos, sino que nosotros somos transpuestos (ver-setzt), a una con lo ente, en las tonalidades. Las tonalidades afectivas son lo poderoso radicalmente envolvente que —a una— a nosotros y a las cosas nos sobrevienen. Esto suena fantástico; pero es mucho más fantástico, es decir, está mucho más apartada de toda realidad verdadera, aquella representación del hombre como cosa corporal provista de un alma que nos es tan corriente, y que nos deja en la estacada justo cuando debemos presentir de un modo pertinente la esencia del temple, es decir, correctamente el Dasein del hombre. Sería igualmente erróneo poner las tonalidades afectivas sólo como “manifestaciones subjetivas” en el sujeto — en cuyo interior las manifestaciones ascenderían como burbujas de aire en un vaso de agua—, tanto como querer explicarlas por el influjo de las cosas sobre nuestros nervios. Más bien el Dasein del hombre, cooriginariamente con el ente en cuanto tal, es transpuesto a las tonalidades afectivas. De esta cooriginariedad habla el “con vosotras” (v. 4). El duelo sagrado (queja) con lo patrio no es algo casual ni un adorno poemático (poetische), sino que aquí se dice — poética (dichterisch) y fundamentalmente — algo esencial sobre el Ser.

Because we have long been misled and regard the human being from the outset as a corporeal thing fitted out with a soul and its processes, and because in addition we take the soul to be an ‘I’ in the first instance, we locate ‘moods’ within this ‘I-subject.’ Since cognition and willing as subjective processes at least always relate to and have to do with objects, yet moods, for the most part, also lack this relation to objects—they are naturally something purely ‘subjective.’ Since these moods or attunements are located within the ‘I,’ they must arise there too; that is, they must be caused in turn by other corporeal and psychological conditions. ‘Moods’ come to be located in the subject, and this subject in turn transfers them into the objects with the aid of so-called empathy. Attunements are then something like gloves: sometimes worn, sometimes set aside somewhere.

In contrast to this view, we have to say: Attunements are Not placed into the subject or into objects; rather we, together with beings, are trans-posed into attunements. Attunements are powerful forces that permeate and envelop us; they come over us and things together with one fell swoop. That sounds fantastical. Yet far more fantastical—that is, far more remote from all true reality—is that representation of the human being as a corporeal thing endowed with a soul, a representation that is so commonplace and that leaves us so completely at a loss if our task is indeed to intimate the essence of attunement in the right way, that is, as it concerns the Dasein of the human being. It would be equally erroneous to place attunements in the subject as only ‘subjective appearances’—as appearances arising in the interiority of the subject, like air bubbles in a glass of water—or to seek to explain them in terms of the effects of things acting upon our nerves. Rather the Dasein of the human being is transposed into attunements equiprimordially together with beings as such. The words “with you” (line 4) tell of this equiprimordiality. The holy mourning (plaint) with what belongs to the homeland is no accident and no poetical embellishment. Here, rather, something fundamental and essential is said poetically concerning beyng pure and simple.

Weil Wir seit langem mißleitet sind und den Menschen im vorhinein nehmen als ein Leibding, das mit einer Seele und deren Vorgängen ausgestattet ist, und weil wir zu dem hinzu diese Seele noch zuerst als ein „Ich‟ nehmen, verlegen wir „die Stimmungen‟, in dieses „Ich-Subjekt‟. Da nun das Erkennen und das Wollen als subjektive Vorgänge mindestens immer noch auf Objekte bezogen sind und mit solchen (/termos/z/zu-Tun-haben), den Stimmungen aber auch dieser Bezug auf Objekte meist fehlt, so sind sie natürlich das rein »Subjektivem Da die Stimmungen dort – im „ich‟ – sind, müssen sie auch dort entstanden, d. h. wieder durch Andere leiblich-seelische Zustände verursacht Sein. „Stimmungen‟ sind ins Subjekt verlegt, und dieses Subjekt legt sie wieder aus sich in die Objekte mit Hilfe der sogenannten Einfühlung. Stimmungen sind dann so etwas Wie Handschuhe, die Man bald anlegt, bald sonst irgendwo hinlegt.

Demgegenüber ist zu sagen: Nicht sind die Stimmungen in das Subjekt oder in die Objekte gelegt, sondern wir sind, in eins mit dem Seienden, in Stimmungen ver-setzt. Die Stimmungen sind das durchgreifend umfangende Mächtige, die in eins über uns und die Dinge kommen. Das klingt phantastisch. Aber weit phantastischer, d. h. von aller wahren Wirklichkeit viel entfernter, ist jene Vorstellung vom Menschen als seelenbegabtem Leibding, die uns so geläufig ist und die uns so völlig im Stich läßt, wenn wir das Wesen der Stimmung auch nur in der rechten, d. h. das Dasein des Menschen treffenden Weise ahnen sollen. Es wäre gleich irrig, die Stimmungen nur als »subjektive Erscheinungen ins Subjekt zu legen – als dort, in dessen Innerem, auf steigende Erscheinungen, wie Luftblasen (90) im Wasserglas – genauso, wie sie erklären zu wollen aus den Einwirkungen der Dinge auf unsere Nerven. Vielmehr ist das Dasein des Menschen Gleichursprünglich mit dem Seienden als solchem in die Stimmungen versetzt. Von dieser Gleichursprünglichkeit sagt das »mit euch« (V. 4). Die Heilige Trauer (Klage) mit dem Heimatlichen ist kein Zufall und keine poetische Ausschmückung, sondern Hier ist etwas Grundwesentliches dichterisch über das Seyn schlechthin gesagt.
