1. Tanto nella ϕωνή che nel λόγος si mostra una determinatezza dell’«essere nel mondo», un modo determinato dell’incontro tra la vita e il mondo, nel primo caso nel carattere dello ἡδύ e del λυπηρόν, nel secondo nel carattere del «giovevole» (συμϕέρον) e del «nocivo» (βλαβερόν). Si tratta di determinazioni fondamentali: significano infatti che nel suo esserci naturale il mondo non è un dato di fatto di cui prendo conoscenza, non è una realtà fisica o empirica, ma «ci» è per lo più nel modo del giovevole e del nocivo, di ciò che solleva o incupisce l’esserci. E questi caratteri dell’accesso si danno in primo luogo nell’«espressione sonora», poi nel «parlare», nella ϕωνή e nel λόγος. Assistiamo per una volta al modo in cui l’espressione sonora e il parlare si appropriano del mondo che incontrano nel suo «carattere d’esserci» prossimo e originario, per comunicarlo ad altri, in maniera tale che questi enti sono l’uno con l’altro. Il carattere d’esserci del mondo implica per l’appunto l’essere-riferito del suo «Ci» a molti, che sono l’uno con l’altro. Questo mondo essente-ci anzitutto per molti, che vivono l’uno con l’altro, è da noi chiamato mondo circostante, cioè il mondo in cui mi do da fare innanzitutto e per lo più.

In φωνή, just as in λόγος, a definiteness of being-in-the-world appears, a definite manner in which the world encounters life. This occurs, first, in the character of ἡδύ and of λυπηρόν, and in the second case in the character of the “beneficial and harmful” (συμφέρον, βλαβερόν). These are fundamental determinations: the world in natural being-there is Not a fact that I take notice of; it is not an actuality or a reality. Rather, the world is there for the most part in the mode of the beneficial and the harmful, of that which uplifts or upsets being-there. And these characters of access are there at once in “announcing” and then in “speaking,” in φωνή and in λόγος. At once we witness how announcing and speaking appropriate the world as encountered in its original and immediate character of being-there; and they communicate with others in such a way that these beings are with one another. The world’s character of being-there is such that the relationality of its there is precisely toward several that are with one another. This world that is initially being there for several that live with one another, we designate as surrounding world, the world in which I am involved initially and for the most part. In der φωνή ebenso Wie im λόγος zeigt sich eine Bestimmtheit des Seins-in-der-Welt, eine bestimmte Weise, wie die Welt dem Leben begegnet, im ersten Fall im Charakter des ήδύ und des λυπηρόν, im zweiten Fall im Charakter des »zu- und Abträglichen« (συμφέρον, βλαβερόν) — fundamentale Bestimmungen: nämlich daß die Welt im natürlichen Dasein Nicht ein Tatbestand ist, den Ich zur Kenntnis nehme, keine Wirklichkeit oder Realität, sondern daß die Welt zumeist da ist in der Weise des Zu- und Abträglichen, des das Dasein Hebenden und es Verstimmenden. Und diese Charaktere des Zugangs sind einmal da in der »Verlautbarung«, dann im »Sprechen«, in der φωνή und im λόγος. Einmal sehen Wir zu, wie Verlautbarung und Sprechen die Begegnende Welt in ihrem ursprünglichen und nächsten Daseinscharakter aneignen und sie Anderen mitteilen, so daß diese Seienden Miteinander sind. Der Daseinscharakter von Welt hat gerade seine Bezogenheit seines Da auf mehrere, die miteinander sind. Diese Zunächst (48) da-Seiende Welt für mehrere, die miteinander leben, bezeichnen wir als Umwelt die Welt, in der ich mich zunächst und zumeist umtue.
